I am an interdisciplinary artist from San José, Costa Rica, and I studied architecture and design before deciding to become a tattoo artist and open my own studio, Lolita Ink. I specialize in linework and botanical illustrations, using a single needle or fine line. My work is often inspired by plants, flowers, and animals, but also includes lettering, pet portraits, and cult tattoos (movies, anime, etc.). I firmly believe that tattoos are an expression of love. Self-love, love for someone who is with us, someone who is no longer here, love for our pets, our loyal companions, love for our personal journey, reminders to give ourselves freedom and compassion. They are the ultimate expression of our individuality; they are a ritual of passage, of liberation, of rebellion. I am an artist; I was born as one, and I have the privilege of accompanying each of my clients, who are now friends, in their ritual of personal self-exploration, liberation, closures, and new beginnings.
